Law Internship in BRUNSWICK, Victoria

The position:
A fantastic opportunity exists for a law intern to join our team in our Brunswick office. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge outside of the classroom. You will be working with one of our valued lawyers, where you will be able to develop your skills and work on real cases.
The position lasts for a duration of 3 months, where you will be required to attend one day per week, working 8.30 – 5.30.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
• preparation of correspondence and legal documents;
• client communication and management;
• management of solicitor’s diary;
• file management and maintenance
• efficient time recording and management of financials - associated with client files
• various administrative tasks
About you:
You will be a law student, studying at a Victorian University. Furthermore, you will:
• Be available to work a two or more days per week (specify your availability in the cover letter)
• Have had prior experience working in a law firm or alternatively in an administrative role
• Have a keen interest in family or employment law (specify your area of interest in cover letter, or leave blank if undecided)
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be proficient using Microsoft Office
